>>>Revelation 22 is all about Heaven. Jesus has come back, and John describes the final chapter of the book (and Bible) with God’s people being with Him forever.
Revelation 22:13 “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.””
PASSAGE QUESTIONS:
What do these three descriptions of Jesus have in common?
Why is it important to see Jesus throughout all the Bible and not just the New Testament?
>>>Jesus says He is the “Alpha and the Omega.”
*These are the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet.
>>>He says next He is the “first and the last”.
*Jesus comes before all things and is the only One Who truly remains.
*We can only remain and continue on through Him.
>>>He says He is the “beginning and the end”.
*Jesus is the start of everything, particularly creation, and is the end of it. He brought everything to conclusion.
>>>All three of these descriptions put Jesus in an eternal perspective. He isn’t just Someone Who popped up at the beginning of the NT. He has always been active.
>>>If we see Jesus throughout the OT, the we also see the plan of redemption.
